Our Drivers

Be assured when you get into a Tauranga Mount Taxi our owner drivers and their drivers will possess the following qualities and attributes:

• Passed a police check before being permitted to drive for Tauranga Mount Taxis.
• Hold local area knowledge qualifications as required by New Zealand Transport Agency.
• Within 3 months of starting with Tauranga Mount Taxis all of our drivers complete Total Mobility training.
• You can request a female driver but service will depend on availability.

Our Vehicles

Since 1967 Tauranga Mount Taxis has been operating the largest fleet in the Tauranga and Mount Maunganui areas. Our modern fuel efficient vehicles are GPS tracked for your security.

Many of our fleet have security cameras to ensure the safety of the driver and the passenger. Access to the security footage is strictly limited to the Company Management and is only accessed if there is a reported problem.

Every six months of operation our vehicles are checked by Vehicle Testing New Zealand to ensure the vehicle complies with Certificate of Fitness standards .

Cars

Cars carry 1 to 4 passengers. If you require extra luggage capacity let our operator know and we will provide a larger size vehicle.

Low Emission Taxis

Hybrid cars carry 1 to 4 passengers. You can request to have a Hybrid Taxi.

Vans

We have a fleet of vans catering for groups up to 9 passengers.

Total Mobility Wheelchair Taxis

Our fleet of Wheelchair Taxis are equipped with wheelchair hoists that are fully certified and compliant to Australian & New Zealand standards.

Our fleet of Wheelchair Taxis can cater for up to two wheelchairs and a varying number of passengers.

All our Total Mobility Drivers are qualified & experienced in assisting passengers with special needs.
